Turner and the Sea

  • This landmark exhibition celebrates J.M.W. Turner's lifelong fascination with the sea, bringing together an outstanding collection of masterpieces from around the world including The Fighting Temeraire, voted 'Britain's favourite painting', and Wreck of a Transport Ship, not seen in the UK for nearly 40 years.

    The Museum holds a number of works by Turner including his famous depiction of the Battle of Trafalgar.
