A joint committee has been undertaking pre-legislative scrutiny of the Draft Care and Support Bill. It has received evidence from a number of stakeholders – experts and organisations involved in care and support - as well as Department of Health ministers and officials. The committee has now concluded its scrutiny and has reported to both Houses of Parliament. When its report is published is a matter for the Committee and it will be made available on the Parliament website.
The Government will then consider the Committee’s report and respond formally in due course.
