A number of stories in the media this week are looking ahead to the special meeting of the BMA’s representative body to discuss the planned changes to the NHS, and the possible reaction of healthcare professionals.
A DH spokesman said:
“We are absolutely committed to the future of the NHS. We hope to continue to work closely with the BMA and all other health professionals to cut bureaucracy and give doctors the power and freedom to make the service more responsive to patient needs.”
Over 5,000 GP practices across the country have signed up to our plans and have started to implement them in order to give patients better care.
