Viv Bennett is the professional lead for nurses and midwives working in public health and social care and the principal adviser to the Government on public health nursing and midwifery.

Viv has a broad portfolio of policy responsibilities within the Department of Health including leadership and advice for public health nursing and midwifery, health visiting and school nursing, nurses in health and social care, and the public health elements of mental health nursing and learning disability nursing.
