Anna Soubry, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State

Anna Soubry was appointed Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department of Health in September 2012.

She has been MP for Broxtowe since May 2010 and in November 2010 was appointed as parliamentary private secretary to Simon Burns at the Department of Health.

Anna has worked at Grampian TV in Aberdeen as a reporter and presenter on North Tonight and at Central TV as a reporter on Central News East. During her time at Central, Anna was the shop steward of the National Union of Journalists. Anna read Law at Birmingham University and went on to train as a barrister. She worked as a criminal barrister in Nottingham and practised until becoming an MP.
Anna has two daughters.
