Small Payment Institution reporting - changes to FSA057 (Payment Services Directive Transactions return)

Small Payment Institutions (SPIs) are due to report payment service transaction data for the period 1 January 2012 to 31 December 2012 from 1 January 2013. They have until 31 January 2013 to do so.

SPIs should note that Field 2A of the return, which asks for the total value of Payment Service Directive transactions in euros, has been changed so that it is now denominated in single units rather than in thousands. So, a value of €100,000 should be entered as 100000 rather than 100. Additional helptext has been added to the return to remind SPIs of the change.
