South Lanarkshire Lifestyles - Stonehouse is now open to the public.
The £6.5million multi-use community centre, which was fully funded by the council, was built to replace the public hall, Institute and library.
It was officially opened by Councillor James Malloy, the depute chair of the council's Finance & Corporate Resources.
Councillor Malloy said: "This fantastic centre for the people of Stonehouse and beyond has a variety of services and facilities for everyone to enjoy."
The community hall with its sound and lighting systems can be sub-divided to cater for smaller group activities and also has its own kitchen and bar area.
There is also a modern library with ACTIVE IT learning centre including six PCs, a café serving coffee and snacks, specialist facilities for adult daycare, a range of meeting rooms for local groups which will also be used for visiting services provided by the council and its community partners including housing surgeries, benefits enquiries or health activities.
The centre also has a landscaped garden to the rear of the new facility and there are group rooms, a cinema room, an arts and crafts room, multi sensory room and quiet room which can also be used out with normal office hours.
