Train the Trainer Events (part of Support Option 1)

The NHS Institute delivers two-day Train the Trainer events for Productive Leader facilitators and project managers. The events will provide participants with the knowledge and resources to implement and deliver The Productive Leader within their NHS organisations. You need to ensure that the people you select to plan and faciliate the programme have both the capability and capacity - please contact us to discuss this further.  Further details of these roles can be found in the Executive Leader Guide (version 2) on pages 22-24 or look at the FAQs.

The cost for this training, which is a key element of the support package Option 1,  is £1,500 per person and includes lunch and refreshments during Train the Trainer.  This package includes a programme of ongoing support from the NHS Institute:

  • One to one telephone sessions to discuss specific issues, challenges and an opportunity to discuss progress
  • WebEx sessions open to facilitators and project managers
  • Peer to peer support with other Productive Leader facilitators and project managers
  • Online licenses to access Honey and Mumford's Learning Style Questionnaire (20 licences per support package).
  • Updates and signposting to relevant tools, sites and resources

To purchase this support option including a place on Train the Trainer,  please contact productiveleader@institute.nhs.uk or ring 0800 555 550 and ask to speak to Paul Woodley.  Local Train the Trainer workshops can be delivered onsite for 10 or more participants.  Please see the Support Options Flyer above for more details.  Special rates are available for facilitators and project managers who have previously attended a Train the Trainer workshop and want to refresh their product knowledge or learn more about new approaches to the programme.

Future Train the Trainer dates are:

13th and 14th November 2012 - Fully Booked

All events are non-residential and held at the new NHS Institute premises: NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement, i-House, Univ of Warwick Science Park, Millburn Hill Road, Coventry CV4 7HS.

 Learning Event 30th June 2010

In response to suggestions from our sites, we held an event on 30th June 2010 for facilitators and project managers at any stage of delivery - from the planning phase to spreading the programme beyond your first cohort.

As a participant in this event, we provided the opportunity to:

  • network from other facilitators and project managers from organisations across the country
  • share your experiences and gain insights as to how others have overcome similar issues and challenges
  • participate in a problem solving clinic
  • showcase success stories and innovative approaches which could translate to other organisational settings.

Three key presentations from this event are available to download below.
