Deadline extended for comments on children and young people’s health outcomes

The deadline for submitting views on how to improve the health of children and young people has been extended to 31 May. This follows the large amount of feedback and comments that the Children and Young People’s Health Outcomes Forum is receiving.

Ian Lewis and Christine Lenehan, co-Chairs of the Forum, which is developing a new strategy for improving care for children and young people, said:

‘We very much appreciate the large volume of comments and feedback that we are receiving  from many individuals and organisations. We can assure you the Forum is finding these very helpful and is drawing upon them in making sure its eventual recommendations make a real difference to the lives of children and young people.

‘We are anxious that we offer as much opportunity as possible to contribute to our work and, given the rate at which the feedback continues to come in, we have extended the deadline for feedback by a month.’

The independent Children and Young People’s Health Outcomes Forum is gathering views from children, young people, parents, carers, doctors, nurses and other professionals involved in providing care to children on the health outcomes that matter most for children and young people and how the different parts of the health system will work together to deliver these.
