Key NHS CFH speakers at EMIS NUG Conference

Kemi Adenube, Diane Bullman and Dr Manpreet Pujara are among the speakers representing NHS Connecting for Health at this year's EMIS National User Group Conference, being held at Warwick University on 15-16 September 2011. (Published: 14 September 2011)

Kemi is NHS Connecting for Health's GP IT programme director. She is responsible for the GP Systems of Choice framework, the GP2GP programme, the QMAS service and the GP Payments Calculation Service that is due to replace QMAS.

Diane is an HI (health informatics) development manager. The main aim of her role is to develop the capability of NHS staff to use informatics and to develop informatics skills for clinicians. Diane plans to speak about the new regsitration standards which have been developed by the UK Council for HI Professions (UKCHIP).

Manpreet is the national clinical lead for GPs. He was elected to the EMIS NUG committee in 1994 and was chair between 2001 and 2007.

EMIS (Egton Medical Information Systems) is one of the major suppliers of GP IT systems in the UK. The EMIS NUG is an independent non-profit making organisation that provides training and educational materials to EMIS users.

NHS CFH will have a stand at the two-day conference, promoting seven programmes: Demographics, Choose and Book, Electronic Prescription Service, GP2GP, HealthSpace, NHS Number and Summary Care Record.
