An invitation to Communities Assets Enterprise 2009
The Development Trusts Association national conference
Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre, Westminster, London
13-15 September 2009

As the recession bites, as the poverty gap widens, as more and more people are left behind – who will step up to the challenge? What do we offer, our movement of community activists, problem-solvers, environmentalists, entrepreneurs, people driven by faith, by no faith, by anger, by compassion, by bloody-mindedness… by desire to do, by visions of small changes that change everything, by a deep sense of common purpose?

The Development Trusts Association is the leading network of community enterprise practitioners. We support community organisations that use self-help, enterprise, and asset ownership, to find local solutions that can transform communities for good.

Keynote speakers include:
Clifford Rosenthal
, National Federation of Community Development Credit Unions (USA)
Iain Tuckett, Coin Street Community Builders
Stan Thekaekara, Just Change India
Tony Kendle, Eden Project
Rob Hopkins, Transition Towns

Plus a series of practitioner-led workshops and seminars looking at ground-breaking community projects from across the UK and visits to leading development trusts in London.

Full conference programme can be found on www.dta.org.uk/conference
