Advisory board members announced

One of the commitments in our Third Sector Strategy was to establish a new Third Sector Advisory Board. Following an open process we received 35 applications from well qualified individuals with experience from across the sector. This bodes well for the future of the strategy but meant that we are in a position of having to stand down some applicants who would have been able to contribute a lot.

I am pleased that the following 16 people have agreed to join the board. We look forward to working together.

  • Caroline Drummond – CEO, LEAF (Linking Environment And Farming)
  • Helen Meech – Senior External Affairs Officer, The National Trust
  • Keith Roberts – Director of Campaigns and Policy, The Rambers
  • Mark Walton – Head of Stronger Communities, CDF
  • Martin Harper – Head of Sustainable Development, RSPB
  • Matthew Thomson – CEO, LCRN & MD REalliance
  • Pauline Buchanan Black – Director General, The Tree Council
  • Peter Lipman – Policy Director, Sustrans
  • Peter Couchman – CEO, The Plunkett Foundation
  • Phil Barton – CEO, ENCAMS
  • Philip Mulligan
  • Richard Gutch – Prospectus Ltd (NAVCA trustee)
  • Roger Clarke (Chair) - Ex CEO YHA and Ex Director Countryside Agency
  • Sylvia Brown – CEO, ACRE
  • Tom Flood – CEO, BTCV
