The draft Care and Support Bill was published on 11 July 2012. It proposes a single, modern law for adult care and support that replaces existing outdated and complex legislation.
The draft Bill was published here for online consultation, so that you could comment on the individual clauses, and contribute to the largest overhaul of the law around adult care and support in 60 years. We have received many constructive comments and have seen some interesting discussions here.
The online consultation ran until 19 October 2012, and this website will remain open for you to continue your discussions until 31 October 2012. Following that you will still be able to read what people have said.
