The Project Control Framework

This framework sets out how we, together with the Department for Transport, manage and deliver major road improvement projects.

A list of Area 6 road projects is available so you can view which projects are planned, current and complete.

The area is managed by a dedicated Highways Agency team.  On 1 June 2008, Atkins Limited became our sole service provider under a Managing Agent Contract (MAC).

Area Road User Satisfaction Survey (ARUSS)

We like to know what you think and react positively to your feedback.  ARUSS is an at home survey of road users and neighbours of our network.  It is a continuous rolling programme of surveys with 36 interviews per month in each area measuring road users' attitudes on area level issues; identifying what the area team needs to do to improve its services to customers.  It includes questions on safety, conditions of the road, signing, congestion and road works.

For the latest results for Area 6, please visit our Listening to our Customers page.

Area 6 Road Safety Reports

Many of you ask about accident statistics on our network, whether it is for your own interest, as part of your work with your neighbours or Parish Councils or because you work for another highway authority.  We have been publishing annual safety reports for each the routes we manage on this website for several years.  These have now been updated and adapted to suit our current ways of working.  You can look at our latest route reports (by county), the latest quarters' Safety Reports, our Congestion Reduction Plan and our Area Safety Action Plan by visiting the Area 6 Road Safety Reports page.

If you would like to contact Area 6 about anything on this page or anything else, our contact details are available via the Contact Information page.
