There are 4 rates of National Minimum Wage, depending on your age and whether you’re an apprentice.

|£4.98/hour||Workers aged 18-20|
|£3.68/hour||Workers above school leaving age but under 18|
|£2.60/hour||Apprentices under 19 or in the 1st year of their apprenticeship|
From 1 October 2012, the National Minimum Wage will increase for:
- Workers aged 21 and over - from £6.08/hour to £6.19/hour
- Apprentices - from £2.60/hour to £2.65/hour
