About Us: Introduction

The Leeds City Region is the real economy for 11 local authorities across North, South and West Yorkshire, 3m people, a resident workforce of 1.5m, 106,000 businesses and an economy worth £53bn per year.

The Leeds City Region Partnership brings together the eleven local authorities of Barnsley, Bradford, Calderdale, Craven, Harrogate, Kirklees, Leeds, Selby, Wakefield and York and North Yorkshire County Council to ensure the city region economy continues to grow.

In order to effectively achieve this goal the Leeds City Region has now established a business-led board (LEP Board), to work alongside the Leaders Board, in order to effectively address the city region's economic challenges.

Our aim:

  • To develop an internationally recognised city region;
  • To raise our economic performance;
  • To spread prosperity across the whole of our city region; and
  • To promote a better quality of life for all of those who live and work here.
