 SANDBACH IS SITUATED IN SOUTH CHESHIRE
 WHERE THE PENNINES MEET THE CHESHIRE  
 PLAIN. IT HAS A POPULATION OF 14,747. 
 INDUSTRIES  LIKE SALT AND HEAVY       
 COMMERCIAL VEHICLE MANUFACTURE CAN BE 
 FOUND AND HAVE EASY ACCESS TO THE M6  
 ONLY A MILE FROM THE TOWN CENTRE.     
 SANDBACH IS A  THRIVING MARKET TOWN   
 AND IS THE VENUE OF ONE OF THE LARGEST
 STREET MARKETS IN THE NORTH-WEST      
 DATING BACK TO 1579. TOURISTS VISIT   
 THE TWO SAXON CROSSES WHICH STAND IN  
 THE ORIGINAL MARKET PLACE.            
 OUR BLOCK IS LARGELY RURAL AND IS     
 SITUATED TO THE NORTH AND EAST OF

In 2011 the BBC published the survey online and for six months invited updates to the photographs and text to celebrate the 25th anniversary.

Shortly afterwards the website was added to The National Archives’ UK Government Web Archive.
