Commissioning toolkit

What is the Commissioning Toolkit?

The Commissioning Toolkit  is a searchable online database of parenting programmes and approaches available in England.

It is aimed at those involved in the commissioning of services for parents and families and provides detailed information about each programme's aims, content, target groups and training requirements. Most importantly, it provides information about programmes' quality and effectiveness, enabling commissioners to make informed choices about how suitable a programme is for meeting the needs of specific groups of parents.

Submitting parenting programmes

The National Academy for Parenting Research’s (NAPR) DfE funding to evaluate parenting programmes is coming to an end in early 2012. NAPR are currently unable to accept any more new submissions to the Commissioning Toolkit and the submissions inbox has now closed. NAPR apologise for any disappointment this may cause.

To enable you to use the Commissioning Toolkit effectively a user guide is available.
