Background

Information Update 10/07 provided notification of the future withdrawal of trifluralin from the plant protection products market. This Regulatory Update now provides the dates for withdrawal of trifluralin products.

The EC Decision (2007/629/EC) was published on 20 September 2007. The dates for withdrawal of plant protection products containing trifluralin are given below.

The UK has twenty-two professional products that must now be revoked in order to withdraw these products from the market and comply with the EC Decision.

Professional Products:

Approval for advertisement, sale and supply by any person will be revoked / withdrawn from 20 March 2008.

Approval will be given until 20 March 2009 for the storage and use.
