Thea Stein Confirmed as CEO of Yorkshire Forward


Terry Hodgkinson, Chair of Yorkshire Forward has today confirmed that the new Chief Executive of the Regional Development Agency will be Executive Director of Economic Inclusion, Thea Stein.
The announcement follows ratification of the Agency’s recommendation by Vince Cable, Secretary of State for Business Innovation and Skills, and will see Ms Stein taking up the role officially on the 1st July, for an initial period of 12 months.
With an established career across a wide variety of roles in the public sector, Thea joined Yorkshire Forward in 2006 as Executive Director of Economic Inclusion. Thea has extensive management experience, including that of Chief Executive; managing organisational change and tackling challenging financial circumstances.
Thea will replace the incumbent Chief Executive, Tom Riordan, who will leave Yorkshire Forward in the summer to become Chief Executive of Leeds City Council.

This will be essential when managing what will continue to be a rapidly changing environment, both for the economy and for the organisation.
