VOICE to create 500 jobs at new offices

Telemarketing firm VOICE is aiming to almost treble staff numbers by the end of next year after opening new offices.

Sheffield-based VOICE has invested £850,000 in renovating 25,000 sq ft of office space in the city that will eventually be used by 500 new staff.

The offices, at The Mount, will be run alongside VOICE's existing premises in Woodseats where the £7m turnover company already employs 270 people.

James Hinchliffe, managing director of VOICE, said: “This is a significant development, not just for VOICE, but also for the local economy. From our projected turnover for the year, we will be investing approximately £4m back into the region through employment.

“This figure will continue to rise during the coming months as we hope to have around 750 people working for VOICE from both sites during 2011.

“The new facilities at The Mount will provide us with the means to expand existing contracts for national brands such as Npower, E.ON and Swinton, together with a number of new contracts. These are very exciting times for VOICE and Sheffield as we continue our aim to become the number one contact centre in the UK.”

VOICE will initially create 125 new jobs, adding a further 375 by the end of 2011 as it expands its business to business division and establishes a new multi-lingual department.
