South Yorkshire Businesses All Set For Awards Celebration

The top companies in South Yorkshire are gearing up to vie for glory at the region’s leading business awards ceremony this coming Friday.

24 firms will gather at Rotherham’s Magna Centre on 22 October to compete for honours in ten categories - including the coveted Business of the Year trophy, sponsored by Barnsley Community Solutions - at the prestigious Barnsley & Rotherham Business Awards ceremony, which will be hosted by television presenter Harry Gration.

Chris MacCormac, Rotherham President of Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber of Commerce, said: “It is testament to the quality of companies in South Yorkshire that the judging panels had so many superb entries to assess in the various categories, giving them the tough job of picking out those firms that had a crucial edge.

“All the businesses who will be commended are, without doubt, worthy winners.  We are very proud of the achievements our members and local firms have enjoyed over the past 12 months and will take great delight in spotlighting these successes on Friday evening.”

The awards ceremony will also include the Salute To Business section, celebrating the achievements of three long-standing companies for their contribution to the South Yorkshire business community – Warwick Ward (Machinery) Ltd for 40 years trading, Fosters Bakery for 50 years in their industry and Cooke Fuels for the magnificent achievement of 165 years in business.

Tickets for the awards ceremony are priced at £60 or £550 for a table of ten for Chamber members, £75 or £750 for a table of ten for non-members (all prices excluding VAT) - places can be booked via the Events section of the Chamber website – .
