NHS staff survey: Change of Provider Notice

Gateway reference: 16168

Following a competitive tender process the Department of Health has appointed a new provider of the NHS staff survey Advice Centre.

Picker Institute Europe have been awarded the contract to coordinate the national NHS staff survey from 2011 and to provide advice on its development going forward. The Department sees the appointment providing opportunity to strengthen the links between staff experiences and patient outcomes, ensuring the NHS staff survey will better support the NHS to deliver improved outcomes.

Picker Institute Europe is a not-for-profit organisation working to make patients' and staff views count in healthcare. The Institute has strong experience in managing devolved national surveys and is responsible for coordinating the national patient survey programme on behalf of the Care Quality Commission. As an approved contractor for both patient and staff surveys they also have valuable experience of working with health care providers to implement surveys at a local level.

More information about the NHS staff survey Programme can be found on the NHS staff survey advice centre website, including frequantly asked questions about the change and results from the latest survey.
