NHS Referral to Treatment waiting times statistics, August 2011

The latest monthly data on NHS Referral to Treatment (RTT) waiting times has been published. This provides information for August 2011 relating to Primary Care Trusts, Strategic Health Authorities and NHS Trusts.

The key points are:

  • Data relating to consultant-led RTT waiting times for patients, who were treated during August 2011, reorded 301,245 patients being admitted and 876,397 being non-admitted
  • Nationally 90.4% of admitted patients, and 97.3% of non-admitted patients, waited for a maximum of 18 weeks
  • The average waiting time for admitted patients was 8.1 weeks and 4.1 weeks for non-admitted patients
