The NHS Future Forum has published key recommendations to Government on the future for NHS modernisation.

The NHS Future Forum was launched on 6 April as part of the Government’s listening exercise on the current Health and Social Care Bill. Since then its 45 members have attended around 200 events and have met with over 6,700 people face to face. Over 25,000 people have sent their views to the Forum by email, while a further 4,000 have sent private comments, completed questionnaires or website responses.

Set up as an independent group in order to ‘pause, listen and reflect’ on the content of the existing Health and Social Care Bill the Forum has made a series of recommendations within the following reports:

Some of the changes the Government is making in response to the NHS Future Forum require amendments to the Health and Social Care Bill. A set of Government amendments was tabled for consideration by a House of Commons Public Bill Committee. The Government has produced briefing notes to accompany these amendments.

This document summaries the key changes the Government intends to make in response to the NHS Future Forum. The changes are largely structured around the four workstream themes considered by the NHS Future Forum. Some, but not all, of these changes require amendments to the Health and Social Care Bill.

Some of the changes the Government is making in response to the NHS Future Forum require amendments to the Health and Social Care Bill. The Government has produced briefing notes to accompany the amendments that were made in Commons Committee and the amendments that have been handed in for Commons Report.
