Pay uplifts for most NHS staff are determined by the Government in the light of the recommendations of the independent Pay Review Bodies, which take evidence from the Government, trade unions and NHS Employers before making their recommendations.
This is the written and statistical evidence for the NHS Pay Review Body (NHS PRB) from the Health Departments for England and Wales. The NHS PRB covers all staff who are on Agenda for Change terms and conditions across the UK
The evidence is divided in to the following chapters:
Chapter 1:Introduction – The Government’s Pay Policy & Wider Approach to the NHS
Chapter 2:NHS Finances
Chapter 3:Evidence on the General Economic Context
Chapter 4:Total Reward – Pay, Additional Benefits & Pensions
Chapter 5:Non-Medical Workforce, Planning & Delivery
Chapter 6:Evidence from The Welsh Assembly Government
Written and statistical evidence, to the NHSPRB, from the Scottish Government was submitted separately.
