Provision of occupational health services for Department of Health and MHRA staff (EOI 54612)

The Department of Health's (DH) Occupational Health Service contract will be renewed for a period of five years. The DH and its Executive Agency, the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulation Agency (MHRA), employ approximately 4,000 staff, the majority of whom are based in Central London and Leeds.  The remaining staff are located at a small number of outstations across England or work from home.

As the Department responsible for the heath and well-being of the population in England, DH aims to be at the forefront of good practice with regard to employee health and well-being.  The OHS provider will have a key role in supporting this.

The new contract will cover occupational health services and a comprehensive range of other pro-active services to promote employee health and well-being such as lifestyle screening for staff, health promotion campaigns and well-being workshops.  The Department is keen that OHS is regarded by staff and managers as a service that is enabling.

Interested organisations who can demonstrate experience in this area must download the pre-qualification questionnaire from the e-Tendering portal using EOI reference 54612.

The closing date for responses is 12 noon, 18 February 2010.
