From 1 January 2012, the Government-funded whistleblowing helpline changes to a free-phone service.
The new service encompasses all elements of the current service but, in addition, opens up availability for the first time to staff and employers in the social care sector.
The helpline will operate weekdays 08:00-18:00 with an out of hours answering service available weekends and public holidays. A web-based service is also being developed.
For staff that have concerns but are unsure how to raise them, or employers that simply want advice on best practice, from 1 January 2012 you can call free on 08000 724 725 for free, independent and confidential whistleblowing advice.
