Single equality scheme documentation

Single equality scheme

This single equality scheme sets out how we are promoting and taking action on the specific equality duties placed on us of race, disability and gender. It also explains how we are applying the equality duty principles to other strands of diversity – age, gender identity, religion / belief, and sexual orientation.

The public equality duties on race, disability and gender are powerful tools which support the Cabinet Office to focus on equality throughout our business. I believe that the duties have a significant role in making government work better – the overarching purpose of this Department.

Scheme review

The reviews set out the progress the single equality scheme has made between March 2008 and March 2009 and between March 2009 and March 2010.
