Park events

Parks make great venues for a wide range of events - from charity fund raising (such as sponsored walks/fun runs) to community fun-days and volunteering.

In addition to events organised by our Ranger Service and Outdoor Events Team there are opportunities for members of the public and community groups to organise their own events in parks.  Providing the event is of a suitable scale and the correct application process has been followed.

Rangers events

The Ranger Service organises a wide variety of events in Wolverhampton’s parks, these include the following;

  • guided walks at a number of parks (on a variety of subjects)
  • children’s activities during school holidays and weekends
  • a range of volunteer activities.

Large events

Due to their size and complexity, these events are organised by the council’s Outdoor Events Team. In many cases they take place over two days and attract thousands of visitors from both inside and outside Wolverhampton.
