Goals for the unemployed

28 Sept: A project is being launched to help unemployed 16-18 year-olds become football coaches as part of the FA's 'get into football' programme. The six-week course will be delivered by a FA Level 2 qualified coach. Contact Chris Hodge on 07961 323853 or for more details.

The Stow Festival

21 Sept: Local residents have organised a four-day musical extravaganza running from Thursday 29 September-Sunday 2 October. The festival will feature over 25 fantastic local acts in 10 venues across Walthamstow  and promises something for all tastes.

Green recycling wheelie bin roll out

9 Sept: Towards the end of September green recycling bins will start to be delivered to most households across the borough to replace black recycling boxes to encourage residents to recycle more.
