Latest Population Estimates

The latest population estimates are:

  • 300,800 for the City of  Nottingham
  • 667,100 for Greater Nottingham
  • 786,600 for the Nottingham Travel-to-Work Area

City Population by Five Year Age Group (2008 Mid-Year Estimates)

These estimates, which are based on the 2001 Census, are produced by the Office for National Statistics.  The City Council considers that, like the Census figures, these estimates are rather too low, although it is not possible to say by how much.  They are, nevertheless the latest official estimates.
