Unit 4: Rearranging equations and formulae

In this unit you can learn about ways to use arithmetic to introduce algebraic ideas, specifically using pupils' understanding of the laws of arithmetic and inverse operations to help them rearrange equations and formulae.

The unit also shows how the idea of a 'mental computer screen' can support algebraic manipulation.
