Achievement for All (AfA) self-evaluation resource

Achievement for All aims to raise the aspirations of, and for, children and young people with SEND. The three strands cover the use of data to inform target setting, structured conversations with parents which capture their views and lead to ambitious targets, and the wider outcomes which compliment and support pupil achievement. Achievement for All is grounded in a culture of high aspiration for all pupils.

This self-evaluation resource is for senior leaders and links to sections in the school self-evaluation framework (SEF). It uses the Achievement for All (AfA) framework which focuses specifically on the outcomes for pupils with SEND and other vulnerable learners. It does not replace any section of the SEF but may help schools to identify issues and collect evidence for the SEF. Most of the sections are not stand-alone but, in response to views from schools, they link to whole-school evaluation tools/policies. In this way, providing for the individual needs of pupils with SEND is integrated into the work of all teams in school.
