The PPEL project team undertook to review current provision with an initial baseline audit of policy and practice across 150 LAs in England.
Case study focusing on actively encouraging fathers to be involved in their children's early learning in Plymouth. The Kids and dads project is part of: Plymouths Parents as Partners in Early Learning (PPEL), a joint venture involving Keystone children's centres, Plymouth's YMCA children's centres and the local authority (LA). This case study includes the aims, procedure, outcomes and the key findings of the study.
20 LAs were involved in the Using ICT in Early Years Project. The main thrust of the project was to support the raising of childrens achievements in ICT capability within the Early Years. Wolverhampton's project supported parents in recording and documenting the process of their childrens learning journeys using hand held PCs - Personal Digital Assistants (PDA). The project is based around five families and the case study gives one example of a PowerPoint presentation and reflections of how this was achieved.
