New updates to Health Maps Wales

The latest release of the interactive mapping tool, Health Maps Wales provides vital updates to key health demographics.
The new data includes: 
·       Updates to Office for National Statistics (ONS) registered births and deaths data for 2009
·       Cancer incidence data for 2009 – supplied by The Welsh Cancer Intelligence and Surveillance Unit
·       Oral health of 12 year olds 2008-09 supplied by the Welsh Oral Health Information Unit
Health Maps Wales offers readily available population data and trends allows public health professionals to predict patterns of where ill health might occur. A variety of other organisations also use Health Maps Wales such as the health service, local and central government, clinical networks, researchers and academia. Last year, Health Maps Wales was visited more than 5000 times.
