What about swimming as exercise to help save your back?

Also what about doing some exercises at home with a couple of small weights -(I used bottles of water- 1 litre = about 1.5kilos.)  one of the womens fitness magazines regularly have routines you can do without buying loads of equipment, have a browse at the supermarket and pick one up.  When I did this my frozen shoulder pain improved so much I couldn't believe it.

Have you asked at your GPs for support? perhaps from the practice nurse? Losing weight is not easy but we all have to keep trying- give it another go, start from today!

i cant bear the embarrassment of the swimming costume yet but i feel nothing will change until i get my eating habbits under control i really need to start i start the day well but it gets worse as the day goes on every day i say i will do better but never succeed

I eat too much at night after having a good breakfast and lunch.

why not Count your calories/fat units etc from night time around to lunchtime the next day, this means you will be having to control yourself to eat the last remaining allowance in the period you find easiest to control?
