    The Science of Marine Reserves

    (15 March 2011) The Partnership for Interdisciplinary Studies of Coastal Oceans (PISCO) has just published a new edition of its report, Science of Marine Reserves, focussing specifically on European marine reserves.

    (2 March 2011) New arrangements for how we will receive and manage land use consultations from 1 April 2011.


  • Dormouse - a protected species

    Standing advice for protected species

    (22 February 2011) Natural England has adopted national standing advice for protected species. It provides a consistent level of basic advice which can be applied to any planning application that could affect protected species. It replaces some of the individual comments that Natural England has provided in the past to local authorities.
