A new service acknowledging receipt of applications is being introduced on 1st October 2010

Release date: 22th September 2010

A new service acknowledging receipt of applications is being introduced on 1st October 2010, with the aim of reassuring customers that we will be working on their applications even if we don’t get in touch before we issue their documents.

If you want to receive an acknowledgement please provide us with your email address on your application form.  If you haven’t got an email address and would like us to acknowledge receipt, simply write “ please acknowledge” on the top of your application form, and we will send a pre-printed postcard to the address on your application.

Whether you get the acknowledgement by email or by postcard, it will give the date the application arrived in our office and explain that the target for processing applications is 15 working days (3 weeks) from that date.   It will say that we will be in touch if we need any more information.

This service is being trialled in response to customer feedback, and follows the introduction of an automatic email response to messages sent to our general enquiries address: wildlife.licensing@animalhealth.gsi.gov.uk
