Rural practitioners  gathered together, to discuss how rural communities can be supported and empowered to stimulate new economic activity and provide community based services ? especially important given the impact of the recession and future pressure on public budgets. They also examined ways of empowering rural communities to tackle environmental and economic shocks. The was the last of four summits…
