Science Framework study guides: Strengthening teaching and learning of forces

This guide supports the teaching of aspects of forces.

It has been produced for non-physicists who are planning to teach pupils in the secondary phase and assumes a general scientific background and an understanding of effective pedagogy.

There will be aspects of the guide where you will need to consult other reference materials on the underlying physics concepts, however no detailed knowledge of the area is assumed.

This study guide offers background information and practical suggestions to support classroom practice. All the strategies suggested have been tried and tested by teachers and draw upon academic research. Equally, many of the activities could be used with pupils who need to develop similar knowledge.
