Introduction to The Productive Leader Workshop

Please contact us if you would like to discuss holding an Introduction to The Productive Leader workshop prior to implementing the programme in your organisation.  Each workshop can be tailored to the needs of your organisation and up to 40 participants. The objectives of this workshop are to:

  • discuss the opportunities for improvement in personal productivity for you and your team
  • to be introduced to the structure and content of the programme
  • to understand the commitment of the programme

Train the Trainer Events

The NHS Institute delivers two-day Train the Trainer events for Productive Leader facilitators and project managers. The events will provide participants with the knowledge and resources to implement and deliver The Productive Leader within their NHS organisations. You need to ensure that the people you select to plan and faciliate the programme have both the capability and capacity - please contact us to discuss this further.  Further details of these roles can be found in the Executive Leader Guide (version 2) on pages 22-24 or look at the FAQs.

The cost for this training, which is a key element of the standard support package,  is £1,800 per person and includes an overnight stay (unless indicated), dinner and all meals during Train the Trainer.  This package includes a programme of ongoing support from the NHS Institute:

  • One to one telephone sessions to discuss specific issues, challenges and an opportunity to discuss progress
  • WebEx sessions open to facilitators and project managers
  • Peer to peer support with other Productive Leader facilitators and project managers
  • Online licenses to access Honey and Mumford's Learning Style Questionnaire (20 licences per support package).
  • Updates and signposting to relevant tools, sites and resources

Future Train the Trainer dates are:

8th and 9th December 2010 - Arden Training and Conference Centre, Univ of Warwick Campus, Kirby Cross Road, Coventry CV4 8UW.  Please note this is a training only event and does not include overnight accommodation or dinner on 8th December.  The cost of this package is £1500

12th and 13th January 2011 - The Abbey Room, Broadway House, Tothill Street, London SW1H 9NQ.  Please note this is a training only event and does not include overnight accommodation or dinner on 12th January.  The cost of this package is £1500. (Sorry, this event is now fully booked but let us know if you would like to be added to the waiting list).

NEW PROVISIONAL DATES: 1st and 2nd February 2011.  We may offer an additional training event if there is sufficient demand.  Please contact us if you are interested in these dates.

9th and 10th March 2011.  Venue to be confirmed.

To make an online booking for one of the above dates, you need to ensure your organisation has been registered to The Productive Leader and registered their facilitator and project manager.

Train the Trainer - refresher

In response to suggestions from our Productive Leader sites, we are now pleased to offer facilitators and project managers the opportunity to join one of the Train the Trainer events to refresh their knowledge and re-energise their thinking about the programme.  Your organisation must have purchased the support package outlined above. The cost for this is £300 per person, which includes the two-day training, an overnight stay with dinner and all meals. Refresher delegates are asked to bring their own Productive Leader materials to the training.  To book a place please email productiveleader@institute.nhs.uk or you can contact 02476 475 945. 

 Productive Leader Learning and Networking Event 30th June 2010

In response to suggestions from our sites, we held an event on 30th June 2010 for facilitators and project managers at any stage of delivery - from the planning phase to spreading the programme beyond your first cohort.

As a participant in this event, we aim provided the opportunity to:

  • network from other facilitators and project managers from organisations across the country
  • share your experiences and gain insights as to others have overcome similar issues and challenges
  • participate in a problem solving clinic
  • showcase success stories and innovative approaches which could translate to other organisational settings.
