  • How can our health economy tackle the Quality and Productivity agenda in a clinically-driven and patient-focused way?

'Ambulatory Emergency Care Explained' introduces the concept of 'ambulatory emergency care', best understood as day case surgery for Emergency Care (rather than Planned Care).

In this short video Dr. Ian Sturgess and staff from two NHS trusts introduce the concept and describe its impact on patients, staff and overall health system quality and efficiency.

This video supports the existing 'Directory of Ambulatory Emergency Care for Adults' and will be available in hard copy with the upcoming publication of a 'How-to' guide for implementing ambulatory emergency care.
