Freedom of information publication scheme: guide to information
Our publication scheme guide sets out the information that we make routinely available, how it can be accessed and whether or not a charge will be made for it.

Our publication scheme contains seven classes of information.

Information falling into each of these classes is published on our website and can be accessed using the links on the pages appearing under each class.  

Information the disclosure of which is prevented by law or exempt from disclosure under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 will not be included in our publication scheme

Charging policy

All information published on our website may be viewed free of charge. For details of charges that we may make for information available by other means please see Charging policy Charging policy (11.92 KB).

The documents listed in the ‘Classes of Information’ section above are subject to copyright: ie either we or a third party own the copyright unless otherwise stated.  The way in which you use copyright information may be restricted.  For example (subject to certain exemptions), you may not be permitted to make multiple copies or issue copies to the public unless you have a licence to do so from the copyright owner.

Management of the publication scheme guide

Language and Accessibility


In order to contain costs, the NHS Institute’s publications are normally produced in English only.  However, we are committed to providing equal access to all information under the Act.
