Scheme of the Month - Links to Schools, Bournemouth

Woodland Walk

In 2009 Bournemouth Council was awarded a substantial grant by Sustrans as part of their “Links to Schools” programme, funded by Cycling England and the DfT. The wider community also benefits from the new links which enable people to walk or cycle to work, schools and shops with greater ease and safety. Scheme of the Month - Business is Better by Bike Awards, Devon

Business is better by bike

Devon County Council’s Cycle Exeter project ran an awards scheme, in association with the Exeter Chamber of Commerce, to find the most cycle-friendly employers in Exeter. Over 3,000 businesses across the city were invited to take part.

The purpose is to reward organisations that actively promote cycling
