Welcome to the Electricity Networks Strategy Group (ENSG) web site

The Electricity Networks Strategy Group (ENSG) provides a high level forum which brings together key stakeholders in electricity networks that work together to support government in meeting the long-term energy challenges of tackling climate change and ensuring secure, clean and affordable energy.

The Group is jointly chaired by the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) and Office of Gas and Electricity Markets (Ofgem) and its broad aim is to identify, and co-ordinate work to help address key strategic issues that affect the transition of electricity networks to a low-carbon future.

The web site is divided into a number of parts, accessed by the links given on the left of this page where you can find further information about the group including its terms of reference and membership. The site also contains the archived information related to the earlier ENSG 2003 - 2008. This information can also be accessed via navigation links.
