Making an Appointment

You need to register to use the Hyman Kreitman Reading Rooms. If you are planning to view material from the Archive, Gallery Records, or Library Special Collections, please make an appointment before each visit. The Archive and Special Collections Reading Room is often full to capacity and we encourage all visitors to book in advance. There is no need to reserve a space in the Main Reading Room where you can view the majority of the Library collection.

If you have any specific access requirements, please contact the Reader Services Manager.

About the Hyman Kreitman Reading Rooms

In May 2002 the entire Tate Library and Archive collection moved into a refurbished area on the lower ground floor of Tate Britain, following a generous donation by the Hyman Kreitman Foundation.
