All Saints, Otterhampton

Set by a farm on ground rising from the Parrett estuary, this is a simple 14th century church with a later tower. A Norman font with a Jacobean cover, a 16th century screen and 17th century communion rails all escaped the rather harsh restoration in 1894 when the west-end gallery was removed, plaster scraped from the nave walls and three pleasing niches exposed on each side of the chancel arch.
