uk resource centre for women in science, engineering and technology

Research and statistics

The UKRC commissions and supports research projects and surveys to address gaps in knowledge, investigate emerging issues and identify innovative interventions to address women’s under-representation in science, engineering and technology, looking at both gender equality and wider diversity issues.

We also collate and analyse statistics about women in SET to establish a baseline and monitor improvements in women’s participation and position within these sectors. These statistics are continually updated with the most recent statistics available from a range of sources and can be accessed freely online.

You will find information on these pages about UKRC-funded and commissioned research, research by our partners and by other researchers working toward gender equality in science, engineering and technology.

In addition, these pages list other information of interest to people undertaking research into gender equality, including published reports and articles, conference announcements, funding opportunities and courses to support career development.  The UKRC also has an extensive resource library which you can use to conduct research. Contact us for further information.

We hope these pages will be useful to you. Please contact us if you have any comments or suggestions or are willing, as a researcher, to have research papers or a research publication list displayed on our website.
