(A commercial licence is also available. For more information, please contact the external collaboration manager, via the customer centre.)

More about the Unified Model

Collaborations with the Unified Model are possible through research and operational licence agreements. These collaborations aim to:

  • build operational, research and academic relationships with centres of excellence to develop the capability of the Unified Model
  • ultimately develop a joint Unified Model programme to deliver mutual benefit to the Met Office, its collaborators and their customers

Operational users

Operational users have a collaboration agreement with the Met Office, which includes an operational and research licence, and may include an agreed programme of research and development work, aimed at waiving the standard annual licence fee. Collaboration agreements have been concluded with the following organisations:

For further details of collaboration agreements, please contact the external collaboration manager, via the customer centre.
